On 29th of June 2022 LoU signing ceremony between Taaleem Foundation and FDE held at ministry of federal education and professional training, Government of Pakistan. Dr Ikram Malik, DG FDE and Asim Mushtaq, CEO TF signed the agreement in the presence of Ms Nahid Durrani, Federal Secretory of Education and Dr Zafar Qadir, Chairman Taaleem Foundation. The objective of this partnership is the enrolment & retention of Out of School Children (OOSC), Improving Quality Education and deploying Education Technologies.
TFGS Zhob celebrated International Day of Living Together in Peace on 16th May 2022 as a means of regularly mobilizing the efforts of the international community to promote peace, tolerance, inclusion, understanding and solidarity. The Day aims to uphold the desire to live and act together, united in differences and diversity, in order to build a sustainable world of peace, solidarity and harmony.
The school organized a special event in this regard giving various presentations on what is peace and how can we all live together peacefully. The event started off with the explanation of the meaning of peace to the students. The students of junior classes performed small skits and did art activities to execute the message of peace in a colorful and attractive manner. All the students participated enthusiastically. The event came to an end when the students made a pledge to show tolerance and respect towards each other in order to live together peacefully.
Career Counseling sessions at school level provide clarity to students about the numerous career choices available today. TF Grammar School Sui (Dera Bugti) organized a career counseling session for students of classes IX on 28th Of April 2022.
Mr. Abdul Hameed Korai, Assistant Commissioner Sui conducted a highly informative session. The students were introduced to career counseling and made to understand and realize their talents. He took the students through different topics, explaining the pros and cons of different streams/subjects and made them able to understand how things can turn out for them in the future. Various career options, available in Pakistan and abroad online or physical, were discussed. Besides, stress management techniques and tips were also given to students. The students felt overwhelmed after this informative and motivating session.
TF Grammar School Sui celebrates Ramadan to instill the purpose, importance and impact of Fast/Swam in a Muslim’s life. The teachers and students participated actively in all the activities because When it comes to Ramadan for children, especially young children, there is no better way to teach them by having fun whilst learning. Engaging them in activities that feed their interests means that they are much more likely to retain information.
Students were told how this month teaches us all to be more pious, disciplined, and how to maintain self-control, while shielding our souls from greed and immorality. But, most importantly, the month teaches how one can improve connection with the Almighty and with other Muslims. Teachers also briefed them about the five time prayers effect on mental and spiritual health. Ramadan’s importance is highlighted through organizing writing competition, calligraphy, art & craft, Speeches, and quiz competitions.
TF Grammar School Zhob organized an event to highlight the importance of Ramadan. The celebration was held in the school hall, which was beautifully decorated with flowers, festival cards and posters. Students were in their traditional Pakistani outfits. The students of class one and two prepared colourful cards with Ramadan messages in the supervision of their teachers. The students of class four and five created models of the Holy Kaaba and mosques. The students form secondary classes contributed their pocket money to help the poor and marginalized communities. Ms Zobraia Kazmi, the Principal along with the students distributed “Ramadan Ration Packs” among the needy and deserving people.
TF Grammar School Pishin celebrated the holy month of Ramadan on 27th of April 2022. The students shared the benefits and purpose of fasting in Islam. Ramadan teaches us to practice self –discipline, self- control, sacrifice and empathy for those who are less fortunate.
The children showcased the activities that normally take place in house during this holy month. The month of Ramadan was also depicted through an Art activity. The students participated in all these activities with great zeal and zest and promised that they would act in accordance with the real spirit of Holy Ramadan.
In the auspicious month of Ramadan on April 26th, 2022, TF Grammar School Mastung organized various colourful activities to commemorate the teachings and learning of this pillar of Islam. The teachers briefed the students that Muslims pray directly to Allah and to none else. They were taught how to perform ablution and offer prayers. Teachers also emphasized on the need to do charity and be grateful to Allah for showering infinite love and happiness in our life.
Principal Ms. Samreen Siddiqui motivated the children about the purpose of fasting to develop the quality of righteousness (taqwa) by abstaining from sinful deeds and training ourselves to control our desires.
The girls students of elementary and secondary classes participated in fire-less cooking competition and cooked iftar dinner in the supervision of their teachers. They gained valuable skills by working as a team to cook and learned that Iftar brings blessings, especially for those that make arrangements for Iftar for others.
Religious festivals are perceived as important part of education as they can help enlighten the students about the spirit of fasting, spreading the message of love, tolerance, and brotherhood in the young minds.
TF Grammar School Kila Saifullah celebrated Ramadan on 25th of April 2022. The Teachers motivated the students on the role of Fasting in Muslim’s life and about sharing Allah’s blessings with other Muslim brothers/sisters who are less privileged. The students were involved in card making activity based on the theme of Ramadan in which they also learnt to draw and colour the moon and stars.
Both teachers and children enjoyed the celebration wholeheartedly.
Mr. Ashiq Ahmed Khan, Senior Adviser on NRM for Taaleem Foundation Project “Youth Empowerment and Energy Conservation for Supporting STEM, NRM, and Rural Development” called on Ch Muhammad Akmal Sargala – the Minister for Forests, Wildlife and Fisheries, Government of AJK in Muzaffarabad on 18th March 2022. The worthy Minister was joined by Ch Imtiaz Ahmed – Secretary Forest, Wildlife and Fisheries department, Mr. Naeem Dar – Director Wildlife and Fisheries department and representation from development sector.
Purpose of this visit was to get support of Govt. of AJK and to assess the scope of the project and its implications on the conservation of biodiversity resources of the area. Worthy Minister hosted a working lunch to discuss modalities for the protection of natural resources in AJK and stressed the needs for public private partnership for strengthening departmental capacities to address challenges and threats to environment.
Meeting was followed by a day long field visit of project area where the Senior Adviser interacted with the school management, students and teachers to discuss digitalization of educational institutions and their transformation in to Smart Community Hubs. This field visit was also joined by Mr. Naeem Dar, and Mr. Yousaf Qurashi – the NRM expert of the project. Visit of Mr. Ashiq Ahmed Khan is a timely move to lay solid foundations towards implementation of the project and to assess the current state of forest degradation and his findings will be incorporated in the work plan implemented during the project cycle.
Mr. Sultan Bugti, the Deputy Commissioner Mastung / Chairman School Syndicate, TF Grammar School Mastung paid a surprise visit to the school on Monday 6th April 2022. He was accompanied by District Education Officer Ahkam-ud-Din and Colonal Hashim from FC Balochistan. He inspected all the classes and interacted with teachers & students and advised them to equip themselves with good education to become good citizens. Apart from this, he also visited the e-labs, reviewed the ongoing teaching process there and the steps being taken for the benefit of the students. He acknowledged the efforts of Taaleem Foundation’s Senior Management for imparting technology based education in Mastung. DC Mastung was fully in picture of the background and journey of TF Mastung and admired the contribution of Dr Zafar Iqbal Qadir in the field of education.
