Signing Ceremony of Outsourcing TVET Institute in Kharan to TF

[Islamabad – March 29, 2023] – The Government of Balochistan through the Balochistan Public Private Partnership Authority (BPPPA) and the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA) signed its first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement at Balochistan House, Islamabad. The agreement was signed with Taaleem Foundation, which won the project in association with The Hunar Foundation and Management and Development Centre.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Chief Secretary Balochistan graced the event as Chief Guest. The signing ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the BPPPA, BTEVTA, Taaleem Foundation, The Hunar Foundation, Management Development Centre, World Bank, European Union, and GIZ. During his address, Abdul Aziz Uqaili praised the partnership as a significant step towards improving the skills and employability of the youth in Balochistan. He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in promoting economic development and improving the lives of people in the province.

The concession agreement aims to boost technical education and vocational training in Balochistan, with a focus on 22 trades (including 5 trades for female trainees) and major trades, including Construction, Mining, Digital literacy, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture/livestock, and Alternate energy (Solar and Electric Vehicles). The agreement will enable over 4000 students to receive industry linkages, national and international certification, and dual diploma programs with Chinese institutes through Tang Pakistan. Students will also benefit from on-job training and certification, performance-based stipends, and competency-based training, leading to better employability and self-employment opportunities.

The signing ceremony was a significant milestone for Balochistan’s public-private partnership initiatives and highlighted the importance of collaboration in promoting economic development and improving the lives of people in the province.

“We are thrilled to have signed this PPP agreement with Taaleem Foundation, The Hunar Foundation, and Management and Development Center. This partnership will provide high-quality technical education and vocational training to the people of Balochistan, and contribute to the economic development of the province,” said Mr. Tariq Qamar, Secretary Labour and Manpower, Government of Balochistan.

We are excited to commence our PPP projects model with education by signing the concession agreement with Taaleem Foundation, The Hunar Foundation, and Management Development Center. This project will serve to prepare skilled human resource who will contribute towards the economic development of the province,” said Dr. Faisal Khan, CEO BPPPA.

March 26, 2023 – The Peoples School at Tando Allahyar being operated by Taaleem Foundation celebrated the auspicious month of Ramadan. The kids of junior grades organized various colourful activities to remember the teachings and learning of this pillar of Islam under the supervision of their teachers.

The teachers briefed the students that Muslims pray directly to Allah and to none else. They were taught how to perform ablution and Salah. Teachers also emphasized on the need to do charity and be grateful to Allah for showering infinite love and happiness in our life.

The school’s Principal, Ms. Shaheen, inspired the kids by explaining that fasting is done to cultivate the virtue of righteousness (taqwa), which is attained by refraining from sinful acts and learning to restrain our desires. The students were also encouraged to read and understand the Quran.

The event was a great success and was enjoyed by all. It was a wonderful way to bring together the students & staff and celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.

23^rd March: Pakistan Day is regularly celebrated with full zeal and zest in all campuses of Taaleem Foundation. The day started with the hoisting of the national flag. The ceremonies started with the name of Allah Almighty, Recitation of Quran and Naat e Rasool  (SAW) was done. Different activities were arranged to express unity of the entire nation. Beautiful performances were done on beautiful songs by little angels of different classes. Impressive speeches were delivered in English and Urdu including an encouraging speech on Pakistan Day. The students also prepared special presentations about the history and culture of Pakistan.  At the end, the respective Principals thanked everyone for their participation and urged them to take pride in their country and contribute towards its progress. Events ended with National anthem.

Overall, the Pakistan Day celebrations at the Taaleem Foundation Grammar Schools were a great success. The students had a great time and learned a lot about the importance of the day.

17th March 2023: TF Grammar School Loralai celebrated Plantation Day to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to become more environmentally conscious. The students, teachers, and other staff members joyfully participated in the activity. The event kicked off with a speech by the school Principal, highlighting the importance of taking care of the environment by planting more trees and that each student needs to plant a tree in school to make it green and serene. The event then moved to the actual plantation activity, where students, and staff members planted a variety of trees and plants. Principal motivated the students to look after their plants and water them on daily basis. Instead of wasting water they should water their plants. At the end principal thanked the District Police department who donated these plants.

11 March  2023 – Mr Asim Mushtaq – CEO of TF visited the Mastung Campus of Taaleem Foundation along with Mr Khalid Rizwan – Head of Operations (SEHATSEY) and Mr Bakhat Karam, Manager Operations (SEHATSEY). During the visit, Mr. Asim Mushtaq met with students, teachers, and school management to discuss the challenges of the school and to understand their perspectives. The CEO emphasized on the use of innovative technology for teaching and learning. He also discussed the enrollment issues, drop outs, etc to find appropriate measures.

He was pleased to observe the level of dedication and commitment of the students and staff in making the school a better learning environment.  However, the school was facing some difficulties in enrolling new students due to the limited resources available. The CEO noticed that the school has been playing a commendable role in this area, and he provided some practical advice to the school to help them in this endeavor.

TF Grammar School Sui organized annual sports gala on 11^th March 2023. The event organized by the senior teachers was a great success with a very high level of participation from the students. A total of 300 students from the school participated in different sports activities. The events included cricket matches, simple race,  spoon race, frog race,, Matka race, tug of war, PT show  and many more.

The event was opened by the school’s Principal, who addressed the students and encouraged them to take part in various activities. The competitions were held in a fair and competitive manner and the students performed to their best of their abilities. The winners of each event were awarded with medals and trophies. The event was generally enthusiastic, with students cheering and motivating each other to put in their best. The atmosphere was further enhanced with drum playing in the background.

The event was also attended by all teachers and other staff, who were delighted to see the students perform so well. Overall, the sports gala was a great success and a memorable event for all the students who took part. It helped foster a spirit of sportsmanship and comradeship among the students. The event was a great learning experience for the students and will be remembered for a long time.

Taaleem Foundation (TF), in collaboration with Kawish Welfare Trust (KWT), established 5 Home Schools for non formal education to the children of deprived communities in Zhob district. These schools have been launched at five different locations in the vicinity of Zhob town on March 10, 2023. The opening ceremony was graced by Ms. Zobaria Kazmi, principal of TF Grammar School Zhob, who distributed sweets among the students.

The Home School initiative by TF and Kawish aims at providing an innovative and engaging curriculum that enables the students to acquire free education at their door step. These schools are gradually being equipped with modern IT tools and teaching and learning aids and staffed by qualified teachers. The curriculum focuses on basic literacy and numeracy skills as well as life skills for grades 1–5. The program is also designed to promote gender equality.

The primary objective of this initiative is to give students who don’t fit into the traditional educational system a favorable learning environment. These schools will provide quality education by addressing the diverse needs of the children.
The program is a part of the government’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals, and it ensures access to quality education for all children.

Taaleem Foundation and Kawash are committed to expanding this initiative throughout Balochistan, In Sha Allah.

Baloch Culture Day is celebrated across Balochistan on 2^nd March every year. Baloch people mark and celebrate this day with traditional passion by organizing rallies, wearing traditional dresses and arranging different gatherings. The preparation of this special day is done in a way to showcase Baloch culture to the rest of world. The Baloch culture is said to be one of the oldest and strongest cultures of the world.

TF Grammar School Sui celebrated the Baoch Cultural Day with traditional zest and enthusiasm. The was was decorated as per Baloch Cultural Theme, the students and staff wore Balochi dresses. A variety show was organized on the day it includes Balochi songs, speech, skits, and cultural dance (chaap). Cute little champs also participated in the Fancy dress show.

17 Feb 2023: Spring Plantation Campaign was launched at Taaleem Foundation Education Complex TFEC) in Sui, in collaboration with District Forest Office, Dera Bugti under the Project of Billion Tree Tsunami Tree of Clean Green Pakistan Program. Mr. Azam Khan (District Forest Officer – Dera Bugti) facilitated TF by providing different plants. During the event, Mr. Azam Khan said that the spring plantation was in process and upon request from TF regarding plantation drive in TFEC SUI, I was eager to visit by himself and joining the campaign. The District Forest Office is taking keen interest to make the people aware, especially students of the district about the campaign of 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Program, as the students are the change agents of the society. He also appreciated the services of Taaleem Foundation for providing higher education through a renowned national brand at the door step of the residents of Dera Bugti District, Balochistan.

16 Feb 2023: Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) plays a crucial role in enhancing a child’s education. The parent teacher meeting is an effective way for parents and teachers to interact and discuss about their child’s progress. Parents can play an active role in their child’s education and can further encourage and influence their child to do well in school. This is an encouraging trend followed by Taaleem Foundation. At the PTM, the performance of each student is discussed with their parents. It is conducted in a great spirit and a beautiful setting is arranged by students and staff for the parents.

At our institution school management make sure that PTMs are duly arranged after each exam however frequent meetings are also arranged to keep a regular check on student’s progress. At the end of the event principal requested parents to join these meetings on priority.
