TF Takes Over TTC Kharan

Kharan – April 13, 2023: Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Uqaili inaugurates the Technical Training Centre Kharan, while handing it over to Taaleem Foundation for operations and management through a public-private partnership arrangement. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Sana Baloch – Member Provincial Assembly from Kharan, Secretary Colleges Hafiz Abdul Majid, Secretary Labor Mr. Tariq Qamar Baloch, and Mr Asim Mushtaq CEO Taaleem Foundation. This project will be managed by Taaleem Foundation in association with Hunar Foundation and Management & Development Centre.

This project  aims to boost the technical education and vocational training in Balochistan, with a focus on 22 trades, including 5 trades for female trainees. Major trades include construction, mining, industrial technologies, alternate energy (solar & electric vehicles), entrepreneurship, agriculture and livestock.

The project will train nearly 4500 students with national and international certification, and dual diploma programs with Chinese institutes through Tang Pakistan. Students will also benefit from on-the-job training and certification, performance-based stipends, and competency-based training, leading to better employability and self-employment opportunities. Apart from training, students will also be provided with industrial linkages and financial assistance and books.

Mr Abdul Aziz Uqaili said, “TTC Kharan would transform into TVET Institute, leading to become the first TVET University of Pakistan in future. This center will not only provide skilled labor within Balochistan but will also to Middle East countries. The success of the center will help Balochistan develop better.  It is hoped that Taaleem Foundation will set a bright example for all of us and fulfill our vision of skilled Balochistan”.

He requested the politicians, civil society and youth to play their role in making this project success through their active support and participation. He thanked the provincial government and the Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudus Bizenjo, who played an important role in making the training center functional.

The honorable Chief Secretory also distributed the certificates among the participants of the 3-days short course on e-commerce.
