On May 30, 2023 an event organized for the distribution of scholarships among the students of Virtual University Private Campus at the TF Educational Complex in Sui. Col Johar Ali, Security Head of PPL graced the occasion on behalf of Manager Sui gas field.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran as a gesture of invoking blessings and setting a spiritual ambiance. The Campus Manager Mr. Haroon Faisal welcomed the honorable guests and participants to the ceremony. He briefed the guests about the detail of scholarships and highlighted the significance of this scholarship program in promoting academic excellence and accessibility for students at the Virtual University. During his presentation, he shared the details of study programs and motivated the available participants to join hands in promoting the higher education programs. Scholarships are motivational tool that encourages outstanding, deserving students to pursue higher education. He acknowledged the efforts of the PPL scholarship committee and expressed gratitude to the PPL management who made the scholarships possible.
The Chief Guest appreciated the intervention of Taaleem Foundation for the uplift of human development. Speaking to the students he called it a golden opportunity for the students who want to continue their post-graduation study programs and encouraged the students to get maximum advantage from this virtual University set up established by PPL and TF. He distributed the scholarships cheques among the students who qualified the well-defined scholarship criteria.
The ceremony was ended with a note of thanks from Campus Manager.
[May 23, 2023] – Mr. Muhammad Gull Khelji, Commissioner Loralai Division visited TF Grammar School Loralai. He took a tour of the school facilities, had interactive sessions with students of different grades. He praised the efforts and contribution of TF higher management for providing the vibrant educational environment to the children of Loralai.
Ms. Humaira, Principal of the School briefed him about the school progress, facilities, challenges and the steps taken by the school administration to meet these challenges. The students were inspired by the Commissioner’s visit, which instilled a sense of pride and encouraged them to strive for greater success in their academic pursuits. The Commissioner expressed admiration for the school’s management to excellence and its efforts in providing a nurturing environment for students especially e-Learning. He awarded cash prizes to the students and assured his cooperation.
[Islamabad May 18, 2023] – TF signed an MOU with the Special Communication Organization (SCO). The event marked the beginning of a promising collaboration aimed at achieving common objectives and mutual benefits. Ms Shagufta Noreen, COO of TF and Colonel Bilal Sarwar, Director Operations at SCO signed the MOU, in the presence of Chairman TF, Deputy DG of SCO and CEO of Axio.
Recognizing the significance of connectivity in today’s world, TF and SCO will join hands to expand digital connectivity in remote areas. This collaboration will focus on providing internet access to schools, enabling students and teachers to benefit from digital learning platforms and resources.
The signing of this MoU signifies the commitment of both organizations towards creating a positive impact in under-served communities by leveraging technology. The extended collaboration will make a lasting difference in the lives of the less privileged communities across Pakistan.
On 18 May, 2023 TF signed a tripartite ‘Project Implementation Agreement’ with School Education Development, Government of Punjab (SED). Rana Saleem Ahmad Khan Secretary, SED, South Punjab and Dr Zafar Qadir, Chairman TF signed the agreement along with Mr. Ayub Shah, representing Rehmat Foundation – the donor of the project.
The agreement highlights the commitment and role of the partnering organizations towards rolling out the EdTech products of Taaleem Foundation, including but not limited to ATALEEK (www.ataleek.co.uk). The scope extends to spearhead the public-private partnership initiative in education, by allowing private parties to invest in the government schools to upgrade their infrastructure and quality of service delivery.
Through this Agreement, the TF and SED will jointly promote conceptual and interactive learning technologies to increase the enrollment of Out-of-School-Children (OOSC), retain the students enrolled in schools, and enhance the students’ learning outcomes through their exposure to the digital content and related learning resources. Deployment of e-Learning platform, teachers’ training on education technologies, academic coordination of the course coverage, AI-based assessment and need-based support for technology maintenance, along with M&E and reporting are the primary areas of cooperation. The Parties may also collaborate in future in other areas of education, such as school outsourcing, curriculum development, policy research, technology integration, activity-based learning (ABL), multi-grade teaching (MGT)and other curricular as well as co-curricular activities.
[May 13, 2023] – Mother’s Day! The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated by all TF Schools with high spirits and playfulness. This being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss was zealously enjoyed by one and all. Teachers made an earnest effort to instill the importance of a mother in a child’s life. The students from different classes participated in making beautiful greeting cards for their mothers and came up with lovely ideas to show their love and appreciation. The outcome of their efforts was impressive, and the air was filled with heartwarming feelings of intimacy, gratitude, appreciation, and acknowledgment of a mother’s role in the lives of their kids. The bond of a mother and her child is inexplicable.
The schools Principals encouraged the children to inculcate virtuous deeds and resort to ethical ways that make their parents happy and contented. The little kids intensely and devotedly spoke about their mothers. Each activity was special and different in its own way.
Overall, it was an enjoyable and memorable day for all the teachers and children. The celebration left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts of the students, reminding them of the importance of their mothers in their lives and reminded our little ones that we have been neglecting our duties as sons and daughters.
Mr. Ikram Ullah Kasi, Regional Coordinator OGDCL, Quetta paid monitoring visit to TF Grammar School Kohlu on May 12, 2023 to review the new construction and repair works, financed by the OGDCL. He visited the site of the new block; wash rooms and repair work in old school building. He expressed his satisfaction towards progress of the project. He acknowledged the contribution of Taaleem Foundation for over three decades in terms of quality schooling for the people of the area.
The school administration gave him a brief presentation about the history and achievements of TF Kohlu. “With the kind support of OGDCL for the improvement of physical infrastructure and construction of new technology block, TF Grammar School Kohlu will be able to accommodate more students, provide better WASH facilities and improve learning environment. It’s a positive step towards improving the educational standards and opportunities for the students in the area. This block is undoubtedly a valuable addition to our school and will contribute significantly to the academic and overall development of students” stated Ms Waheeda, the Principal TF Kohlu.
Chairman of school syndicate Mr. Ejaz Ahmed Jaffar (D.C Kohlu) joined at Noon and visited the new construction site and appreciated the progress.
Kharan – April 13, 2023: Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Uqaili inaugurates the Technical Training Centre Kharan, while handing it over to Taaleem Foundation for operations and management through a public-private partnership arrangement. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Sana Baloch – Member Provincial Assembly from Kharan, Secretary Colleges Hafiz Abdul Majid, Secretary Labor Mr. Tariq Qamar Baloch, and Mr Asim Mushtaq CEO Taaleem Foundation. This project will be managed by Taaleem Foundation in association with Hunar Foundation and Management & Development Centre.
This project aims to boost the technical education and vocational training in Balochistan, with a focus on 22 trades, including 5 trades for female trainees. Major trades include construction, mining, industrial technologies, alternate energy (solar & electric vehicles), entrepreneurship, agriculture and livestock.
The project will train nearly 4500 students with national and international certification, and dual diploma programs with Chinese institutes through Tang Pakistan. Students will also benefit from on-the-job training and certification, performance-based stipends, and competency-based training, leading to better employability and self-employment opportunities. Apart from training, students will also be provided with industrial linkages and financial assistance and books.
Mr Abdul Aziz Uqaili said, “TTC Kharan would transform into TVET Institute, leading to become the first TVET University of Pakistan in future. This center will not only provide skilled labor within Balochistan but will also to Middle East countries. The success of the center will help Balochistan develop better. It is hoped that Taaleem Foundation will set a bright example for all of us and fulfill our vision of skilled Balochistan”.
He requested the politicians, civil society and youth to play their role in making this project success through their active support and participation. He thanked the provincial government and the Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudus Bizenjo, who played an important role in making the training center functional.
The honorable Chief Secretory also distributed the certificates among the participants of the 3-days short course on e-commerce.
Islamabad – 11th April 2023. TF signed an MOU with Rural Development Foundation (RDF) for meaningful cooperation in education sector. The MOU was signed by Brig (R) Muhammad Aslam Khan, MD RDF; and Ms. Shagufta Noreen, COO Taaleem Foundation.
The purpose of this MOU is to provide a framework for cooperation and collaboration in education sector, with an emphasis on school operations, interactive learning technologies, teacher training, and other social interventions.
The Parties agreed to collaborate in future in other areas of education, such as school franchising, curriculum development, research, and other educational activities. This partnership will benefit both organizations, as they can supplement and complement each other’s efforts in providing services to a wider community.
According to Brig. (R) Muhammad Aslam Khan, “We are excited about this partnership and are looking forward to working closely with Taaleem Foundation to find good EdTech solutions for the vulnerable communities”.
March 29, 2023 – the Taaleem Foundation and Ahmed Khan Education System (AKES), both nonprofit organizations, entered into a MOU to establish a framework for cooperation and collaboration between the Parties in the field of education, with a particular focus on teacher training, online classes, and future cooperation.
Further this collaboration is aimed to provide access to quality education for the students of AKES by introducing them to the Taaleem Foundation’s educational programs, resources, and services and to have the opportunity for joint projects and initiatives in the field of education & integration of technology in education.
Dr. Zafar Chairman, Taaleem Foundation and Mr Ahmed khan Achakzai, Chairman AK Education System & KAKA Shaheed Foundation signed the agreement at TF Head Office in Islamabad.
29th March 2023 – Mr. Ejaz Ahmed Jaffar, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Kohlu / Chairman School Syndicate visited TF Grammar School Kohlu. His visit was to assess the overall condition of the school, its infrastructure and the quality of education being providing to students.
He expressed his satisfaction over the standard of education and condition of the school. He talked to the students and employees while visiting the classrooms, e-labs, computer labs, etc. He commended the administration and employees for their efforts in delivering high-quality instruction.
He showed his interest in knowing the history and background of Taaleem Foundation. Principal Ms Waheeda explained him in detail. He was grateful for the Taaleem Foundation’s efforts and its selfless work in remote area of Balochistan for the underprivileged. He pledged his complete support for TF Grammar School in Kohlu.
