7^th February 2024 – Chairman Taaleem Foundation, Dr. Zafar Qadir, accompanied by former Secretary IT, Mr. Farooq Awan, and a leading entrepreneur / philanthropist Mrs. Masooma Awan visited the government schools in AJK, where TF has deployed EdTech solution of e-School along with the STEM education vocational training facility for local youth. TF has transformed 10 government schools in Pir Chinasi, Muzaffarabad into smart community hubs, adequately equipped to provide digital education and skill enhancement, with a focus on natural resource conservation and alternate sources of energy. The project is partly funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The purpose was to assess the progress of a project.

The guests were briefed on TF’s interactive education model, linking these Tele-centers to Islamabad for STEM education and certified courses. Mrs. Masooma Awan praised the local women’s interest in skills and emphasized the need for market linkages. Dr. Zafar Qadir urged effective use of the hubs and proposed adding nutritional and health support initiatives. Mr. Farooq Awan suggested integrating agriculture-based interventions to further support natural resource conservation. Chairman TF appreci` ated the team for serving the less privileged segment of society.

Students, faculty, and staff at Peoples School Tando Allahyar came together on February 3rd, 2024, to commemorate Kashmir Day with fervor and patriotism. The event, aimed at expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people, received an added honor as the CEO and COO of Taaleem Foundation graced the occasion.
Under the backdrop of Kashmiri flags and banners, the school hosted various activities including speeches, skits, and poetry recitations, showcasing unwavering support for Kashmiris. The presence of the Taaleem Foundation’s top executives elevated the event’s significance, emphasizing the collective resolve to stand with Kashmir.
The CEO and COO, in their addresses, reiterated the importance of advocating for Kashmiris’ rights and seeking a peaceful resolution to the longstanding conflict. In a pioneering move to elevate educational standards in South Punjab, Taaleem Foundation, the EdTech partner of School Education Department of South Punjab, is extending its services to government schools in the region. On 18^th January 2024, Ms Shagufta Noreen Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Taaleem Foundation visited some government high schools in District Rajanpur to explore and implement new technology interventions in collaboration with Dr Akhtar Bandeshah – a senior cardiac surgeon at Islamabad who hails from Rajanpur.

The COO, accompanied by Dr. Anis Farooqi, a distinguished community elder, Ms. Sahibzada Jahangeer, and Mr. Javed Qureshi from the District Education Office engaged in a series of meetings with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Education Authority, Rajanpur and the respective school principals.

During these deliberations, the team discussed innovative approaches to integrate technology into the classrooms, aiming to enhance the overall learning experience for the students. The discussions also focused on strategies to overcome challenges specific to the education landscape in South Punjab.

In a groundbreaking move, Ms Shagufta Noreen – the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Taaleem Foundation engaged in a series of high-level meetings with the Chairman of Sardar Kaura Khan Trust – Mr. Adnan Mushtaq (Session Judge, Muzaffargarh), along with the Board of Trustees and  the key stakeholders in Muzaffargarh.

Being the EdTech partner of the School Education Department of South Punjab, Taaleem Foundation presented the interactive teaching/learning concept through its e-School solution. The discussions centered around collaborative interventions aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the Trust schools. The strategic alliance between Taaleem Foundation and Sardar Kaura Khan Trust marks a significant milestone in their shared commitment to empowering students through innovative educational practices.

In an effort to raise the bar in education, plans were unveiled to upscale existing schools under the trust. This forward-looking approach aims to provide students with state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring a holistic and enriching educational experience.

TF Grammar Schools marked another year of academic success on December 23, 2023, as students showcased exceptional achievements in their annual results. The school premises were decorated with colorful decorations, creating an inspiring backdrop for the celebration of exceptional achievements of young learners in the annual results.

Top performers were recognized for their outstanding efforts, highlighting the schools’ commitment to holistic education. Dedicated teachers, acknowledged for their unwavering support, played a pivotal role in fostering a dynamic learning environment through innovative teaching methods.

The active involvement and cooperation of parents with school administration further contributed to the schools’ achievements. The Peoples School at Tando Allahyar conducted its first PTM on 4th of November 2023. It was a productive event, highlighting the students’ progress over past two months and featuring an inspiring display of their projects. A large number of students and parents attended the meeting. They had a detailed discussion regarding their children’s academic development. Parents expressed satisfaction over and gratitude to the school management.

Primary objective of the meeting was to create a common platform, where teachers and parents gather to discuss students’ performance and devise ways to enrich their learning experience.

The school management also showcased some science projects prepared by the students. Parents appreciated the students for the science projects. The event left attendees hopeful for a brighter and more sustainable future, driven by the passion and determination of these talented young students.

In a proactive move to ensure continued success of the educational institutions, Ms. Shagufta Noreen, the COO of Taaleem Foundation embarked on a whirlwind tour of 06 campuses of TFGSS during towards the end of October 2023.

The purpose of the COO’s visit was multifaceted, with a focus on assessing and enhancing various aspects of the educational system.  The COO delved into student performance metrics, seeking to identify areas of strength and improvement in order to provide the best learning experience for them. She conducted comprehensive assessments to monitor the quality of teaching standards. As examination periods are crucial for students, a meticulous review of exam preparation processes was undertaken to ensure students’ readiness.

In addition, identifying and addressing administrative issues or concerns that might impact smooth functioning of the campuses also remained on the priority agenda.

The COO’s commitment to the essential aspects of education system reflects TF’s dedication to providing the best possible quality of education for its students.

October 11, 2023 – TF organized a 3-day teachers training session on EdTech at the Peoples School in Tando Allahyar. The training focused on integrating education technologies into mainstream curriculum. The session, held from October 7th to October 9th, 2023, saw educators and staff members participating enthusiastically in the training, which aimed to empower them with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective digital teaching and learning. The training program aimed to equip teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge they need to create engaging, interactive, and effective learning experiences for their students.

Dr. Anees Farooque, a distinguished e-Learning expert known for his contributions to innovative pedagogical techniques, conducted the training. He shared his expertise on e-learning strategies, online content development, and the integration of technology into curriculum design. Mr Imran Khalil, the IT Support Officer, provided hands-on guidance to participants on utilizing various technology tools and platforms. He covered topics related to common technical issues, troubleshooting and optimizing the use of digital resources.

The training sessions included interactive workshops, discussions, and practical exercises that allowed teachers to explore the latest tools, platforms, and strategies for enhancing the educational experience. Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences, and collaborate with their peers. The training emphasized the importance of embracing technology in education for the simple reason that it’s crucial for educators to adapt to modern teaching methods.

Teacher’s day is a special occasion for all the educational institutions and honors the hard work of the beloved teachers who nourish and prepare the students for a bright future. Teachers are the supporting pillars of an institution who play a crucial role in shaping the students life.

On October 5, 2023 teacher’s day was celebrated with immense zeal and joy at all the campuses of Taaleem Foundation. All of the campuses prepared the students to exhibit their love and affection for the recognition of teachers’ strive and struggle. Every school came up with different activities to celebrate this special day. It was to reaffirm the pivotal role that teachers play in fostering, knowledge, empathy and progress in our world.it was observed at all the campuses of Taaleem Foundation, the students expressed their gratitude to teachers through cards, gifts and heartfelt messages. Special assemblies and events were prepared to honor their teachers.  Students prepared skits and performances to elate the importance of the teachers’. Students expressed their sentiments by singing songs and reciting poems themed with highlighting the contribution of teachers in their lives. All the schools decorated the classrooms and corridors with posters and hand made cards admiring the dedication and highlighting the noble profession of teaching. They greeted the whole day with greeting cards, flowers, gifts and beautiful words to make their teacher day a special day.

Younger students made beautiful cards with beautiful messages written with enthusiasm and joy. They were more ardent and keen to express their love through showing performances and presenting small gifts to acknowledge their efforts.

The Teachers’ Day celebration at Taaleem Foundation campuses was reinforcing the pivotal role educator’s play in shaping the future. It encouraged unity and collaboration within the Taaleem family, emphasizing ongoing support and appreciation for dedicated teachers who inspire and empower students daily.

September 28, 2023, Mr. Ikram Ullah Kasi, Regional Coordinator, OGDCL Quetta, paid a monitoring visit to TF Grammar School Kohlu to review the new construction and repair works, financed by the OGDCL. He visited the newly constructed block, including wash rooms, a computer lab, an e-lab, and repair work in the old school building. He expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the project. He acknowledged the contribution of the Taaleem Foundation for over three decades in terms of quality schooling for the people of the area.

The school Principal, Ms. Waheeda Nasreen, who has been serving this school for the last 29 years, briefed him about the current project and shared TFGS Kohlu’s achievements. She told him that the new block is named after “OGDCL”. She also briefed him about the Taaleem Foundation’s mission to enable the students of such hard-hit areas to pursue the daunting challenges of the digital world. It is evident that after OGDCL support, TFGS Kohlu is progressing well and is on track to provide valuable educational opportunities for the youth of Kohlu. OGDCL’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community development remains a cornerstone of its operations in the region, as demonstrated by its investment in this vital educational institution.
