On Saturday, March 2, 2024, TF Sui celebrated Baloch Cultural Day with great excitement. The day was all about honoring Baloch traditions and heritage. Students came dressed in colorful Balochi attire, showcasing beautiful Balochi embroidery. They performed traditional dances like “chaap” with joy and enthusiasm. Boys wore embroidered jackets and long white turbans, while girls dazzled in brightly embroidered clothes and stunning jewelry.
The school featured many stalls offering delicious Balochi cuisine, allowing everyone to savor the flavors of Baloch culture. Students also presented tableaus, sharing insights into Baloch history and customs. The school was adorned with banners and posters depicting life in Baluchistan, adding to the festive atmosphere. Overall, it was a vibrant celebration that celebrated the richness of Baloch culture.
On 28th February, Mir Shaukat Baloch, former District Nazim of Kharan and current Chairman of the Social Welfare Committee at ODGCL/PPL, recently visited the Technical Training Center in Kharan, operated by Taaleem Foundation. During his visit, Mr. Ali Hyder Shahwani, the principal, and Mr. Taj Muhammad, the Academic Advisor, provided a detailed briefing on the ongoing classes. The Chairman toured all the labs to gain a firsthand look at the facilities and activities. Muzaffarabad: 28th February 2024 – TF launched a dynamic tree planting campaign through the Village Conservation Committees (VCCs) formed by TF during the past two years around ten government schools in Pir Chinasi, AJK. This initiative serves as a supplementary effort to bolster the ongoing “Youth Empowerment and Energy Conservation for Supporting STEM, NRM, and Rural Development” project spearheaded by the TF field office, partially supported by the Islamic Development Bank.
Aiming to protect biodiversity, the Department of Forests, GoAJK, provided in-kind assistance of thousands of saplings, amplifying efforts to preserve the region’s rich biodiversity. Graced by the support of Mr. Maqbool Manzoor, Chief Conservator of Forests (Development) at GoAJK, this campaign underscores a collective commitment to sustainable development in Pir Chinasi.
The participation of students, teachers, and VCCs in the tree planting campaign underscores a grassroots commitment to environmental conservation. As saplings found their new homes in the fertile soil of Pir Chinasi, pledges were made to nurture and safeguard these fledgling flora, embodying the spirit of the ongoing project’s objectives.

Quetta – 27th February 2024 – Taaleem Foundation Health Initiative (TFHI) in collaboration with Icore Business Solutions, completed a seven-day intensive training program for Community Midwives. This training session is part of the World Bank funded ‘Balochistan Human Capital Investment Project (BHCIP-H)’.
The training, designed meticulously to cover comprehensive aspects of Pregnancy, Childbirth, Postpartum, and Newborn Care, aimed at enhancing the competencies of healthcare providers. By focusing on practical experiences in health facilities and continuous medical education linked to the Human Resources for Health (HRH) database, the initiative is a giant leap towards advancing the healthcare landscape in Balochistan.
Dr. Nasreen Kakar the lead master trainer, emphasized, “By empowering our midwives with the latest knowledge and skills, we are laying the foundation for a healthier future for all.” The initiative received widespread acclaim from participants and stakeholders alike, who praised the program for its comprehensive approach and practical training modules.
TF-operated People’s School Tando Allahyar, hosted a transformative two-day event on February 22nd and 23rd, 2024, dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship among its students. The initiative aimed to cultivate a profound sense of responsibility towards the planet while instilling a deep-rooted appreciation for nature.
Over the course of two days, students at People’s School TAY enthusiastically participated in a series of activities centered around tree planting and care. Under the guidance of teachers, they planted saplings around the school and made sure to water them well. It was all about showing students that small actions, like planting a tree, can make a big difference
People’s School TAY’s green initiative isn’t just about trees; it’s about teaching students to care for their world. By getting their hands dirty and seeing the results, students are learning valuable lessons that will stick with them for life.
On February 22, 2024, TFGS Mastung organized an Open House event to welcome parents and stakeholders. The event, graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Asim Mushtaq, CEO of TF, aimed to foster greater transparency, collaboration, and engagement within the school community. During the event, he talked about the school’s vision and upcoming plans. These include adding 9th and 10th classes, focusing more on STEM education, partnering with Virtual University, and starting the Matric Tech program. These changes aim to improve students’ learning experiences.
Parents also had a chance to share their thoughts and suggestions for the school’s improvement. Mr. Mushtaq welcomed their feedback, saying it’s crucial for making TFGSS Mastung better.

To support educational efforts in Khanewal District, the TF hosted a seminar at the DDEO Office in Jahanian. The event centered on the impact of an innovative e-School Solution, aimed at enhancing the educational landscape in collaboration with Rehmat Foundation (RF).
The seminar commenced with solemn recitation from the Holy Quran and rendition of the National Anthem. CEO TF extended warm welcome remarks, setting the tone for the proceedings.
A highlight of the seminar was a captivating tableau performance by school children, showcasing the essence and potential impact of the e-School Solution. This was followed by comprehensive presentations delving into the intricacies of the e-School Solution and Girls Entrepreneurship initiatives.

Rehmat Foundation dignatries Dr. Ghulam Qadir (President Rehmat Foundation) Dr. Huda Zenati (secretary Rehmat Foundation), Dr. Saba Syed (RF Board member), Mr. Hyder Jamal (Finance Secretary of the Board), and Dr. Khalil Ahmad (vice-chairman of the board), Head teachers, parents, and District Education Officials shared their insights on the e-School Solution, ensuring a holistic understanding of its implementation and impact.

On Friday, February 16, 2024, a delegation from Rehmat Foundation, led by Dr. Abdul Qadir and other board members, embarked on a visit to Khanewal schools alongside Dr. Anis Farooque, project manager, and the director e-Learning. The purpose of their visit was to assess the implementation of the Taaleem Foundation’s e-school solution, which has been deployed across eight schools in the region.
During their visit, the delegation engaged in meetings with parents and school heads, gathering valuable feedback on the impact of technology on their children’s learning. Parents expressed appreciation for the progress witnessed and shared their observations on how technology has positively influenced their children’s educational journey.
Rehmat Foundation commended the efforts made thus far and engaged in productive discussions with school teachers and students across all eight schools. Teachers highlighted the benefits of integrating technology into their teaching processes, emphasizing how it has simplified various aspects of their work.

In a significant move towards enriching educational opportunities for underprivileged communities, Taaleem Foundation (TF) and Indus Cottage Library Network (ICLN) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 15th of February 2024. The MOU, signed by Ms. Shagufta Noreen, Chief Operating Officer of TF, and Mr. Syed Agha Noor, Chief Executive Officer of ICLN, solidifies a collaborative effort aimed at promoting literacy and educational resources in TF operated and supported schools across Pakistan.
Under the agreement, ICLN will establish and maintain libraries in TF schools, providing a diverse range of books and educational materials tailored to students’ needs and interests. TF, in turn, will facilitate space within its schools for the libraries and support ICLN in accessing the premises for maintenance.
Moreover, both organizations will jointly organize events, workshops, and reading programs to foster a culture of literacy and lifelong learning among students. Regular monitoring and evaluation sessions will ensure the effectiveness of the program, with opportunities for resource sharing and collaboration to further enhance educational outcomes.
