Leadership Training for Head Teachers Concludes Successfully in Tando Allahyar

The Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) successfully completed a capacity-building training for Head Teachers and Principals at the Taaleem Foundation People School, Tando Allahyar.

The training focused on strengthening school leadership through practical guidance on timetable management, structured time planning, and balancing academic and co-curricular activities.

A delegation of SEF partners visited the school and praised its outstanding maintenance, disciplined environment, and purposeful use of resources for student learning.

District Head Tando Allahyar, Mr. Noor Junejo, appreciated the dedication and professionalism of the People School team. He encouraged extending similar training to more schools across the district to promote best practices and enhance overall educational quality.

This initiative highlights SEF’s ongoing commitment, together with the Taaleem Foundation, to advancing educational leadership and administrative excellence across Sindh.

Students of People’s School Tando Allahyar Visit Deaf & Reach School – STEAM Exhibition

Students of People’s School Tando Allahyar had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Deaf and Reach School for their STEAM Exhibition. During the visit, our students explored a wide range of innovative and creative projects prepared by the special children, including science models, art displays, and hands-on activities showcasing remarkable talent and imagination.

The confidence, creativity, and passion shown by the students of Deaf and Reach School were truly inspiring. Our students were deeply moved to see how beautifully the special children expressed their ideas through art and scientific concepts.

This visit was more than an educational trip—it was a powerful lesson in inclusion, empathy, and appreciating the diverse abilities of differently-abled individuals. The experience left a meaningful and lasting impact on everyone who attended.

A heartfelt thank you to Deaf and Reach School for their warm hospitality and for inspiring our students with such exceptional work.

 

TFGS–SUI | Special Visit

Today, Lt. Col. Waqas paid a surprise visit to TFGS–SUI and praised the hard work and dedication of our faculty. He appreciated the school’s discipline, cleanliness, and the quality learning environment maintained in such a remote area.

He acknowledged the continuous support of higher authorities in uplifting education and assured full financial cooperation along with ensuring the safety and well-being of staff under his command.

As a kind gesture, he also presented Rs. 10,000 for staff refreshment.

Inter-House Spelling Bee Competition | People’s School Tando Allahyar

People’s School organized an Inter-House Spelling Bee Competition, where students from all houses participated with great enthusiasm, confidence, and team spirit.
The competition aimed to strengthen students’ vocabulary, spelling accuracy, and quick-thinking skills — and our young learners truly impressed everyone with their performance.
After several thrilling rounds, winners were celebrated in a prize distribution ceremony.  Trophies and certificates were awarded to the top performers, while all participants received certificates of appreciation for their active participation and effort.
The event concluded with applause, encouragement, and proud smiles from teachers and the audience — a true celebration of learning and teamwork!

Powering Transformative Conservation | IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 – Abu Dhabi

The IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025, held from 9–15 October at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), UAE, brought together governments, NGOs, scientists, Indigenous Peoples, and businesses to shape the future of global conservation.

Under the theme “Powering Transformative Conservation,” the Congress focused on advancing resilient conservation efforts, fostering nature-positive economies, ensuring equity and inclusion, and promoting innovation for sustainability — all in alignment with the 2030 goals of the Paris Agreement and the Global Biodiversity Framework.

Mr. Asim Mushtaq, CEO of Taaleem Foundation, represented the organization at the Congress, exploring avenues for collaboration and partnerships with international institutions, innovators, and IUCN member organizations.

Taaleem Foundation continues to uphold its vision of linking education, environment, and sustainability, transforming global dialogue into local action and measurable impact.

Teachers’ Training on Phonics – People’s School, Tando Allah Yar

A successful Teachers’ Training Session on Phonics was held on 15th October 2025 at People’s School, Tando Allah Yar, conducted by Ma’am Nadia Muraad.

The session focused on improving reading skills, comprehension, and phonetic awareness through practical and interactive teaching strategies.

Teachers learned to:

Decode words and blend sounds effectively

Differentiate letter sounds like W, V, and F

Use spelling competitions and vocabulary banks

Integrate digital tools and fun games to make phonics engaging

Outcome:

The training highlighted that phonics is more than letter recognition — it connects sounds and symbols, helping students read confidently and understand better. Teachers are left equipped with creative strategies to make classroom learning interactive, fun, and effective!

 

Empowering Women through Yoga!

Taaleem Foundation’s Yoga Training at Rehmat Entrepreneur Centre, Jahanian, helped women enhance wellness, confidence, and new income opportunities.
Established by the Rehmat Foundation with technical support from Taaleem Foundation, the Centre continues to uplift women through practical skill-based programs in digital marketing, dressmaking, beauty care, tutoring, and customized product design—helping them build confidence, independence, and leadership within their communities.
A special certificate distribution ceremony was held to celebrate the participants’ achievements.Ms. Shugufta Noreen, CEO of Taaleem Foundation, graciously distributed certificates to the participants. The women were recognized for their dedication to personal growth and professional development. Through this program, they not only enhanced their physical and mental well-being but also explored yoga as a potential source of income and empowerment.

In Jahanpur (Tehsil Jalalpur Pirwala), 32 young women proudly received certificates after completing training in Dressmaking and Hand Embroidery, supported by Taaleem Foundation – TF and Mr. Kashif Murtaza. Mrs. Maryam Faisal, daughter-in-law of Mr. Kashif Murtaza, graced the ceremony as Chief Guest, presenting certificates and encouraging trainees to turn their new skills into income-generating opportunities.

Ms. Shagufta Noreen, Chief Operating Officer of Taaleem Foundation, applauded Mr. Murtaza’s vision for advancing women’s empowerment through education and vocational training.

World Mental Health Day at People’s School Tando Allahyar

People’s School Tando Allahyar observed World Mental Health Day with great enthusiasm and impactful awareness activities. The event highlighted the importance of emotional well-being and guided students on managing stress in healthy ways. Students showcased creativity through posters, presentations, and a touching tableau on mental health awareness.

Teachers led engaging counseling sessions and helped students create “Stress Relief Boxes,” encouraging open communication and personalized guidance.

To promote balance and relaxation, outdoor games like basketball and football were also arranged — reminding everyone that physical activity plays a key role in maintaining mental wellness.

This celebration not only spread awareness but also inspired students to prioritize self-care, positivity, and open conversations about mental health.
