23 September 2024: Jahanian, Khanewal – In a groundbreaking event organized by the officials of School Education Department in Jahanian-Khanewal, a commendable tribute was paid to Rehmat Foundation-the donor and Taaleem Foundation-the service provider of e-School Solution to 40 public sector schools in the district. Rahmat Foundation entrusted Taaleem Foundation to introduce its cutting-edge e-School Solution in this remote area of Punjab. This step marks the first time any tehsil in Pakistan has adopted digital education on such a scale, benefiting more than 100 teachers and 13,000 students, and setting a new standard in modern learning across Pakistan.

The event, held at Girls Community Model School, Chak No. 105/10-R, saw vibrant performance of the students celebrating this unique milestone.

Mr. Altaf Hussain Saqib, CEO of District Education Authority Khanewal, thanked both the foundations, saying, “This initiative brings a new era of education to our region. It will equip our students with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world.” He conveyed heart-felt appreciation for the donors and service providers for having selected this remote area in Pakistan to experiment such a wonderful EdTech initiative.

Ms. Zahida Naseem, Deputy District Education Officer Jahanian, expressed her appreciation over the fact that e-School Solution bridges the technological divide, providing students in under-served areas the same access to digital resources as those in urban centers. She said that the initiative effectively fills in the gaps caused by teachers shortage, and enables the students to access interactive lessons and diverse learning materials without being limited to the resources of a single school or teacher. This is a game-changer in an educational landscape where many schools struggle with staffing and maintaining quality standards, she added.

Dr. Ghulam Qadir Maitla, the founding Chairman of Rahmat Foundation who hails from Jahanian, joined the event online and shared his thoughts on his long-term vision for this initiative. He expressed, “This is just the beginning. Our goal is to expand this digital learning solution to more regions, ensuring that no child is left behind in the technological age.” He thanked the community elders for expressing their concerns; the School Education Department for giving access to these schools; and Taaleem Foundation for rolling out this interactive learning technology in his native area.

Muzaffarabad, AJK, September 7, 2024 – Taaleem Foundation (TF) celebrated the successful completion of the first phase of its groundbreaking project, “Youth Empowerment and Energy Conservation for Supporting STEM, NRM, and Rural Development,” at a local hotel in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK). The project aims to integrate education, natural resource management, and community development in remote areas, establishing schools as hubs for community engagement and sustainable development.

Quetta, 20th August 2024 – TF Annual Principals’ Meeting was held at the Regional Office Quetta on 20-23 August 2024. The Principals from across the network gathered to review the past year’s performance, address challenges, and plan for the future.

Key discussions included a review of the 2023 results, curriculum updates, and training on AI and educational technologies. The meeting emphasized the importance of community engagement and refining policies to improve educational outcomes.

In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the best-performing principals from Sui, Kohlu, and Zhob campuses were awarded certificates during the event. This recognition highlights the commitment of TFGSS to fostering excellence within its schools.

On the final day, Chairman BOD, Dr. Zafar Qadir joined the meeting online from Singapore. The visit was part of an exploratory mission for the upcoming ‘Skill, Dignity, and Opportunity’ project, which focuses on skill development and basic literacy for the incarcerated population.

The delegation, led by Managing Director BTEVTA, Tariq Mengal, was warmly welcomed by Saleem Tareen, Superintendent of Mach Correctional Facility. In the heart of Dera Bugti, where the searing heat often reaches 50°C, sixty resilient and determined women have achieved a remarkable milestone. Taaleem Foundation, in collaboration with OGDCL, proudly celebrates the successful completion of a transformative 5-month training program in stitching and handicrafts. This program, hosted at the Women’s Skill Centre in Dera Bugti, is a shining example of empowerment and resilience.

These extraordinary women, hailing from areas like Pirkoh, Zain, and Loti, have shown unwavering commitment by attending every class despite the challenging conditions. Their hard work has paid off, as they have not only mastered their new skills but have also turned them into tangible creations. From beautifully crafted bedsheets, cushions, and decorative items to shawls, scarves, bags, and pouches, these women have demonstrated their ability to produce high-quality handmade cultural products that are marketable both locally and internationally.

We are overjoyed to celebrate the remarkable achievements of 21 extraordinary female students who have completed their industrial stitching training at TTC Kharan. Showing incredible determination to start their livelihoods, TF, arranged a school bags/laptop bags making training. This one-month journey, part of the TTC Kharan Tanmia program on entrepreneurship, has been transformative.

In the searing heat of 48°C, these resilient girls attended every single class, demonstrating unwavering commitment and determination. During their training, they skillfully crafted laptop bags, turning their newfound skills into tangible creations.

Their hard work has already borne fruit, with each student earning around PKR 6,000 during the training. Looking ahead, they are expected to earn between PKR 15,000 to PKR 30,000 per month.

These young women are not just students; they are pioneers, blazing a trail for future entrepreneurs in our community. Their success story is a testament to their strength, resilience, and the power of education.
