TF launches a “Women Skill Centre” at Dera Bugti with the support of OGDCL. Mr. Azhar Shehzad, DC Dera Bugti inaugurated the centre. The ceremony was attended by Mr Abdul Razzaq Bugti, District Education Officer, notable figures, media representatives and Mr Khadim Hussain Bugti from OGDCL. This initiative is poised to make a significant impact on the community by fostering self-sufficiency and financial stability among women in the region.
During his remarks to the media, Mr. Azhar Shehzad highlighted the centre’s primary focus on enhancing income generation skills among local women. He admired the enrollment of more than 80 girls that reflects the interest of local women in learning employable skills. The initiative aims to empower women by equipping them with valuable skills, enabling them to produce vocational goods of export quality. The program will run for four months and will include training in sewing, cutting skills, dress making, computer courses, English language proficiency, and introductory courses in e-commerce.
Mr Haroon Faisal, the Project Lead from Taaleem Foundation emphasized the organization’s commitment to empowering local women. Mr Jaiser Rahim Narejo, Manager Production at Peer Koh Gas Field OGDCL, highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Taaleem Foundation and OGDCL in launching this initiative. The program is expected to uplift the socioeconomic status of the women participants and contribute to the overall development and prosperity of Dera Bugti.
